(Event) Women’s Leadership Conference at Mount Saint Mary’s, September 15th, 2018

Amy Eliza Wong, Executive Life Coach and Public Speaker will be speaking at the Women's Leadership Conference, September 15th 2018 - Mount Saint Mary's

Personal, professional  or community leadership. Whatever is your focus, join us for MSMU LA’s 2018 Women’s Leadership Conference!

Do you feel called to lead? If so, join me at Mount Saint Mary’s University’s 2018 Women’s Leadership Conference. Here, women in a wide range of entrepreneurial, educational, political and creative fields will discuss cutting edge topics on leading for today’s challenges. Discover what it takes to lead consistently, effectively and in times of change.

Leadership and Conversational Intelligence

What will it take? Effective leaders must be skilled at creating an environment for cutting-edge thinking to thrive. In my morning session, I’ll cover all things leadership, trust, and Conversational Intelligence. Why? Because, humans don’t exist in a vacuum. In fact, we’re hardwired for connection and belonging. And to lead, we must inspire, empower and collaborate. That requires trust. In this session I will uncover how trust is created or eroded through conversations. By diving into the neuroscience of trust, we will learn how the quality of our communication either helps or hurts our creativity and intelligence. Participants will walk away with a new understanding of trust and how to better create it with others.

Program Benefits:

  • Understand why your brain labels others as friend or foe in less than .07 seconds and the impact this has on your interactions
  • Understand the role of cortisol and oxytocin in your conversations and practice tools to positively influence your neurochemistry
  • Discover the three subtle shifts in your listening and speaking that can shift someone from resistant to skeptical to open-minded and co-creative
